How are Stem Cells collected?

If the decision is made to harvest and utilize your own stem cells for treatment, we’ll use a local anesthetic and perform a simple mini-liposuction procedure at our sterile facility to extract roughly 60 cc of fat from your body that will yield on average 15-40 million cells, though it is not unusual for cell counts to be considerably higher. The harvest process lasts about 20 minutes and does not require a general anesthetic. After the extraction, you’ll be able to relax comfortably while we prepare your stem cells in the laboratory.

Is this regenerative stem cell therapy safe?

Absolutely. Our Regenerative Cell Therapy is an extremely safe treatment option. Over 10,000 injections have been performed with less than a 0.3% report of adverse side effects. And those were caused by factors outside of the actual procedure – such as patients not following protocol to keep the small 1/4 inch incision area clean. In reality, these types of regenerative cell procedures have been used by plastic surgeons for over 20 years now. All of our patients go through an initial, rigorous screening process, so that we can be sure it is a good fit.

How long will the process take? Number of steps?

STEP ONE – FREE CONSULTATION
You will first meet with a doctor to learn if you are a candidate for Cellutions’ innovative treatment therapy.

STEP TWO – HARVESTING OF ADULT ADIPOSE STEM CELLS
The process lasts about 20 minutes and does not require a general anesthetic. After the extraction, you’ll be released to a waiting room while we prepare your stem cells.

While you wait, we isolate the stem cells from the fat cells and get an accurate count. This part of the process takes an hour or so.

DEPLOYMENT OF STEM CELLS

A supplemental intravenous (IV) procedure is often used as the second line of stem cell reinforcements! We will almost always first inject the stem cells into the target area such as the knees, hips, shoulders, ankles or spine. Then, additional stem cells are introduced into the patient’s system using intravenous methods. This sends millions of these inflammation and damage-seeking stem cells into the patient’s body to stimulate healing. Some of the stem cells will spend time sequestered in the lungs and then will be released like a second wave of reinforcements into the body being attracted to inflammation where damage or degeneration has occurred.

In the right environment, these stem cells can change into bone, cartilage, muscle or neural tissue. It is your own DNA that is being introduced so there is no risk of rejection.

The whole process takes on average three hours.

How much downtime will I experience?

While the needs and solutions for each patient and situation are unique, there will be virtually no downtime at all in almost 100% of the cases. At the most, there may be a slight bruising from the small incision, as well as tenderness that dissapates over a few days.

What relief will I feel after the process?

Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy has shown quite amazing results over a wide spectrum of the conditions our patients had. Many, if not most, of the patients generally feel or see a significant change after the process. Some have even expressed feeling complete relief from this non-surgical procedure.

Does Insurance pay for the procedure?

Unfortunately, Insurance does NOT pay for the procedure yet – we are in the hopes that it will one day be covered by personal/medical insurance. However Cellutions of Vancouver DOES offer payment options and plans that make it possible for almost everyone to be able to be treated. If you would like more info on our payment plan process, please call our front desk at: (360) 464-1492
